What can I run on a virtual server?+
Line-of-business applications, databases, file or application servers, web apps — anything you would run on a physical server, hosted on our managed UK platform instead of hardware in your office.
Can it be reached from the internet, or kept private?+
Either. We can publish a server securely on the internet (for example for a public web app), or keep it private behind your dedicated VPN so only your team and systems can reach it. We'll advise on the safest setup for each workload.
Is the specification fixed?+
No — every server is fully customisable to the client. We size CPU, RAM, storage and networking to your workload and can scale it as you grow.
Who manages and secures it?+
We do. Hosting, networking, patching, monitoring and backup are handled by us as part of the service, deployed in line with the Cyber Essentials standard.
Where is it hosted?+
On our managed platform in the UK — so your data stays in the UK and performance stays fast for UK-based teams.
