Common questions
The things people ask before we start.
Do we have to replace everything at once?
No. We often start with the part causing the most pain — patchy WiFi, say — and phase the rest in over time as budget allows. We'll always tell you honestly what can safely wait and what shouldn't.
Can you use our existing cabling?
Usually, yes. Where your current network cabling is sound we'll reuse it, and only recommend new runs where they're genuinely needed. We check it all at the site survey and tell you exactly what we find.
What happens if something fails out of hours?
Because we're monitoring your network from our central portal, we're often alerted to a fault before you are. Your support arrangements and response times are set out clearly in your agreement, so you always know exactly what to expect.
Do we own the equipment?
Yes. You own the kit outright — there's no proprietary lock-in. It's your network; we simply design it, install it and look after it for you.
Is it secure?
Security is built in from the start. We configure everything to the Cyber Essentials standard we work to, keep guest traffic separate from your business systems, keep firmware up to date and lock down access to the equipment itself.
