What is Astro and why does it matter for my website?
Astro is a modern way of building websites that produces fast, mostly static pages and ships almost no JavaScript. In practice that means your site loads almost instantly, ranks better, and is far more secure than a typical WordPress site.
Can I edit the website myself?
Yes. We set up Decap CMS, which gives you a simple editor in your browser. You can publish articles under different categories, update page text and swap images without touching code or waiting on a developer.
Is an Astro website more secure than WordPress?
Generally, yes. There's no sprawl of plugins to keep patched, the site is delivered as static pages that give attackers little to target, and it sits behind the Cloudflare WAF. As a cyber-security company, security is our default, not an add-on.
Where is my website hosted?
On our own UK platform, behind Cloudflare, with media stored on Cloudflare R2. Keeping hosting in the UK is a sensible choice for businesses in regulated sectors such as finance, healthcare and legal.
Will my site be found on Google and in AI answers?
That's the goal. Every page ships with proper structured data and is written and optimised — with the help of Claude AI — for both traditional search and the AI assistants more of your customers now use to find suppliers.
