What is a hosted desktop?+
It's your full Windows 11 desktop — your apps, files and settings — running on a dedicated machine in our secure UK cloud rather than on a physical PC. You log in from almost any device and get the same desktop every time, wherever you are.
How do I connect to it?+
Your hosted desktops are only reachable over a secure VPN connection to your environment — they are never exposed to the public internet. We set up the VPN on each device so connecting is simple and safe.
Can the specification be changed?+
Yes. Every hosted desktop environment is fully customised to the client, and we can scale CPU, RAM and storage up or down as your needs change.
Where is it hosted, and is it backed up?+
Everything runs on our managed UK platform, deployed to the Cyber Essentials standard, with monitoring and backup handled by us as part of the service.
Which devices can I use?+
Windows and Mac laptops or desktops, and thin clients — anything that can run the VPN and a remote desktop client. Your desktop stays exactly as you left it, whichever device you use.
