Do you use Google Calendar? Ever found yourself planning an event or meeting and wishing you could just hit a magic button to invite everyone all at once?
Wish no more. Google’s adding a digital party planner, or the equivalent at least.
Once you’ve created your event, you’ll spot a shiny new ‘Share’ button nestled comfortably under the name and date. Tap it, and like magic, you can select which apps to share your event with – think Telegram, WhatsApp, Discord, and more.
Imagine the time saved! The headaches avoided! The convenience! The guests you invite will have the option to RSVP with a simple Yes, No, or Maybe, and the event link will be forwarded to their email IDs. Now, if only Google Calendar could also convince them to bring snacks…
Whilst I don’t have an exact release date for this upcoming feature, judging by a video preview, it seems ready to roll out any day now.
This isn’t the first time Google Calendar has wowed me this year. Remember the surprise move when Google Calendar and Microsoft Outlook decided to play nice and improve their interoperability. That’s right, even sworn tech rivals can find common ground when it comes to making our lives a little easier.
So, whether you’re planning a virtual meeting, a birthday party, or a super-secret surprise event (promise I won’t tell!), keep an eye out for this handy new feature.
