Back in 2000, J. Lo wore a now-iconic green Versace dress to the Grammy Awards. What’s that got to do with tech, I hear you shout?
Well, the dress was so popular that people couldn’t stop searching for it online, but there was no easy way to find images of it. That’s when Google co-founder Sergey Brin had the brilliant idea to create a search engine specifically for images.
And just like that, Google Images was born.
Today, it’s an integral part of the internet that we can’t imagine living without. It’s helped us find everything from cute animal pictures to business-related graphics.
But it all started with J. Lo’s green dress. Who would have thought that a fashion statement could be the inspiration for such a game-changing technology? It just goes to show that inspiration can come from the most unexpected places.
Did your business inspiration come from an unusual place? I’d love to hear your stories?
