As business owners we often have to make the most of every minute, and that includes our commute.
But did you know that you can now take your Teams calls on the road with you, thanks to Apple CarPlay?
That’s right, Teams isn’t just for video calls or straightforward phone calls from your desk anymore. Now, you can maximise your time by making Teams phone calls from your car.
I’m not suggesting you juggle your steering wheel and your smartphone. I’m all about safety.
So how does it work?
All you need is a vehicle that supports CarPlay, an iPhone, and the Teams app for iOS (version released 31 Aug 2021 or later). Simply connect your iPhone to your vehicle using Bluetooth or a USB cable, and your device’s screen appears on your car’s display.
And the best part? You can use Siri voice commands to make calls to one or more people in Teams. Just select the Teams icon to prompt Siri.
For example, you could say: ‘Call Colleague 1 and Colleague 2 using Teams’, or ‘Use Teams to look up my most recent call.’
It’s like having your own personal assistant in the car with you.
So, next time you’re stuck in traffic or heading out on a road trip, remember: with Teams and Apple CarPlay, you can stay connected safely and efficiently.
